FAQ
BIDs
-
What is a BID?
- It is a right to one Bid or one bid on the Autobid.
- 1 BID = 1 Bid. In other words – having one BID on your account entitles a User to make one Bid in any Auction offered by wellbid.com, excluding Special Auctions, where the necessary number of BIDs for one Bid is displayed in the parameters of a given Auction. A Special Auction is highlighted and the number of BIDs necessary to Bid is displayed on its card. For example, bid (BIDx18).
- A BID is used once. This means that if you have 10 BIDs on your account you can have a maximum of 10 Bids in ordinary Auctions. After each Bid in an ordinary Auction 1 BID is deducted from your account. After bidding on Special Auctions the amounts of BIDS defined in the Auction parameters that are necessary to place one bid are deducted from your account.
-
How can I purchase BIDs?
- Payment for BIDs can be made by bank transfer or a credit card on-line.
- BIDs are sold in packages. The more BIDs there are in one package the less one BID costs. The bigger package you choose the less it will cost you to Bid.
- Detailed information about packages and prices can be found in the price list (on one of the tabs at the top of the page).
-
Do I need to purchase BIDs before bidding or is it enough to do it after winning the Auction?
- Because BIDs entitles you to Bid you must purchase BIDs before you start bidding.
- If you do not have any BIDs on your account, you will not win any Auctions, for you will not be able to Bid.
-
BIDs keep disappearing from my account. What is happening?
- If you have any doubts about BIDs disappearing from your account out of your control you can view on the User page the history concerning the purchase of BIDs and their use in particular Auctions.
- Check also if you did not set up any Autobids. It is possible that it is bidding for you and that might be the reason for the decreasing number of BIDs on your account.
- It is not possible for someone to take BIDs from your account. They are your property and nobody, apart from you, has access to them.
-
Is it possible to use BIDs to pay for the item?
No it isn't. BIDs only entitle you to participate in an Auction .
-
What happens with my BIDs if I do not win the Auction?
- Owning BIDs only entitles you to participate in an Auction. A BID can be used only once. This means that after each Bidding a certain number of BIDs is deducted from your account. No matter whether you win the Auction or not, each Bidding reduces the number of BIDs on your account.
- BIDs that were not used in one Auction entitle you to Bid in other Auctions.
