FAQ
Payment for items Bid on
-
How can I pay for the item I have bid on?
You can pay on-line, using your credit card or through the PayPal. If you do not have your own bank account, PayPal enables you to print a traditional slip and pay for your item at the Post Office. There is no other option to make payment for the item you have won on the Auction. You cannot collect your item personally and we do not send the items by COD mail.
More details can be found here.
-
Can I pay by sending money directly to your account?
No, you cannot. PayPal handles all payments on our behalf.
-
I have won an Auction. Do I have to pay for anything else apart from BIDs I have spent on the Auction?
After winning the Auction you need to pay for the item with its final price and also shipping costs. You can view them on the page with Auction details.
-
How much time do I have to pay for the item I won?
- We wait 7 days for your transfer. During this time (on approximately the 4th day ) you will receive from us an e-mail reminding you the final day of payment.
- Remember, if you want to pay at the Post Office, you need to add a few days. In such cases it takes more time and we consider only the day that payment arrives on our account, not the date that you made payment - it may not be later than 7 days after the Auction finishes.
- If within 6 days after the Auction finishes, we have not received payment on our account for the item you have won, we will send you information that next day you will lose the right to purchase this item.
- Remember, if due to any reasons you are not able to pay for the item you have won within 7 days, write to us. We may consider prolonging your payment day.
-
How can I pay if I have neither a credit card nor an on-line bank account?
In such a situation you need to make a prepayment and use it when paying for the item you purchased. Please follow the payment procedure. From the list of payment methods choose the "make a prepayment" option. The prepayment number (transaction number) should be written in subject of the transfer (slip) when making a prepayment amount for the Service account you have chosen. It can be done in one of the following methods: Internet transfer, traditional transfer, WAP functions.
Remember, the prepayment amount must equal the amount of your planned purchase and the subject of your payment should include the transaction number. The transaction number, password, and prepayment amount can be obtained from the Service when paying for the chosen item
-
Is it possible to pay by bank transfer from my account excluding PayPal?
No it isn't. PayPal handles all payments on our behalf.
-
What is the shipping cost of the auctioned item?
- The shipping cost is defined individually for each item.
- If you want to know the shipping costs, go to the page with the Auction details, then click on the item’s picture which is on the Auction card (on the Main Page) or on the Auctions list.
- Shipping costs can be also found on the page with Auction details.
-
Is it free to use this Service?
- Both registration and using the Service is free of charge. However, in order to Bid you need to purchase BIDs (Bidding units).
- Additionally, if you win an Auction you need to pay for the item you have won plus the shipping costs (defined in Auction details).
-
How much do I have to pay for the auctioned item? Are there any hidden costs?
1. There are no hidden costs. The Auction winner pays only the final price of the item he/she has won plus shipping costs.
2. At the moment of payment the price will be rounded to a full penny:
- numbers: 1, 2, 3 and 4 will be rounded down, e.g., when the final price shows £ 12.493, you pay: £ 12.49
- numbers: 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9 will be rounded up, for example: if the final price is £ 12.218, you pay: £ 12.22
-
Can I receive BIDs instead of paying for the item?
Yes, you can. You do not have to pay for the item. You can exchange an auctioned item for BIDs. How to do it?
- In the "My wellbid" tab selected the specific Auction in "My purchases" and click the "Pay" button
- Do not pay for the Auction but choose the "Exchange for BIDs" option.
- On the summary page you will see the value of the item, the final price of the Auction and amount of BIDs that you can receive instead of the Auction item. The item price does not include shipping costs, for you did not pay for the shipping and the item will not be sent.
Remember that by choosing "Exchange for BIDs" you do not pay the final price of the Auction but you do not receive the item either. You receive the equivalent in BIDs in exchange.
-
How are BIDs calculated that I will get as an exchange for an item I bid on?
In the summary of the exchange (when you click on the "Pay" button of a particular Auction) you will see a table with a detailed calculation of the BIDs as the exchange for the bidden item. Before you make a decision to exchange this table will give you information about the details of the exchange. You may still resign and pay for the item you bid on and it will be sent to you.
If you decide to exchange you should know that:
- We do not include the shipping cost in the calculation of the BIDs, for you do not pay for it. We deduct the final price from the value of the item because you do not pay it.
- This amount is then exchanged for BIDs according to the conversion rate: 1 BID = 10 pence (the BID's value is averaged). For example: if the item is worth £170 and its final price on the Auction is £20 the difference of £150 is used for the calculation of the BIDs (1 BID = 1p.) which comes to 1500 BIDs
- Choosing the "Exchange for BIDs" option your account will be replenished with 1500 BIDs as an exchange for Auction number (here will be the Auction number)
- Choosing the "Exchange for BIDs" option you do not have to pay for the bidden item, but remember that you exchange it for BIDs and at the same time you give up purchasing it.
